Async handoffs that survive Golden Week
Image unavailable
Golden Week and long EU holidays expose brittle handoffs. We teach teams to lean on ADRs, annotated merge commits, and short Loom-style summaries stored next to the repo — not buried in chat scrollback.
We dissect a real anonymized thread where a decision lived only in Slack. The rewrite shows how the same decision would look in Git notes and a linked issue, including the explicit non-goals section we require.
We finish with a modest promise: async hygiene reduces meetings, but it cannot remove the need for occasional synchronous trust building — we schedule those deliberately, not as a leak from unclear Git history.
